On Monday, December 5th FLTF shared its new Four Lakes Special Assessment District methodology. The methodology is applied to every parcel in the Special Assessment District to determine the annual operations assessment for the parcel.
A new fact sheet about Four Lakes Task Force provides background information and summarized plans for the recovery and restoration of the four dams. The document includes background information about the lakes and dams, details about estimated funding, and an overview of the four critical issues for success. On Wednesday, August 18, over 250 people joined our public informational communications webinar. During a panel discussion, engineers, consultants and FLTF leadership shared information about flood studies, tasks required to bring up each lake, and updates on each dam.

Several property owners have reached out to FLTF about a solicitation from attorneys that propose to legally challenge the Special Assessment District (SAD) to include other properties downstream. The claim asserts that the Special Assessment District boundaries should be extended to include properties that do not have access to the Four Lakes. In addition, FLTF has also received information that others within the lake level SAD boundaries plan to legally challenge the properties in the Special Assessment District. Property owners have asked our view on this effort.
